Podcast SummaryAll sort of flava from the newest urban joints to classic bangers from back in the day. About Mike StoanKnown for rocking parties and forcing audiences into a frenzy, Mike Stoan has been tearing up events for over a decade. His knack for playing the hottest joints, mixed with smooth blends, seductive selections, and thunderous cuts, has kept this Toronto native busy behind the 1's and 2's at some of Canada's most prestigious venues. His love and passion for music directly stems from his immediate family that immigrated to Canada via Jamaica in the mid 70's. His appreciation of music grew stronger through mutual friends and his love for Hip Hop culture. Influenced by the likes of Marley Marl, DJ Premiere, Dr. Dre, and Pete Rock, the young and ambitious selector was on a quest to find the perfect beat. Not knowing that he would dedicate nearly 16 years of his life to finding that beat, he acquired his first pair of turntables and never looked back. During the mid 90`s Mike Stoan honed his skills grinding it out at local house parties, school events, banquet halls, and small bars. He eventually graduated from that hustle and hit the club scene. As the millennium hit he was on a rampage. From weekly club events, radio shows, artist showcases, corporate, and special events he has mastered the art of party rocking. His versatility as a musical genre juggler has led him to holding down residencies at Zen Lounge, Catwalk, Sequel, Seven Lounge, Spice Bistro, Vida Lounge, Suba Lounge, Fluid Lounge, Apothecary, Krave, Cafe Havana, Labyrinth Lounge, and the Vogue Room. He also tore up the airwaves on the Takeover Radio Show (Fusion Radio -2001), Flaco Beats Radio (Chin Radio 2002), and Tdot Live (DJ Shows.com 2003). Behind the scenes he has integrated his love for music to coincide with his intuition for business. In 2000 he played a key role with the promotion and organization of H.Y.P.E. - The Art of Hip Hop Showcase Seminar. In 2002 he graduated from Trebas Institute Entertainment Management Program, and has gone onto establish his entertainment company Chill Flexx Enterprises, a venture in which led to collaborations with Tdot Connection.com (Various Club Events in Ontario and British Columbia), Fred E Fame Entertainment (The 5th Element Series), I Respect Music (Competitors Series), and spinning at special events such as Reggaeton Fest at the Docks Entertainment Complex and Hot 97 Caribana Party with DJ Envy. With years of experience under his belt and a mountain of music to mix, Mike Stoan is the monumental master at work sculpting soundscapes to the perfect pitch to leave party people across the globe screaming at the top of their lungs.
